About Us
Our Heritage
An equestrian legacy in Tedworth can be dated back to the mid 17th century. It was a centre of great sporting and hunting renown until the very early 20th century when the military’s need for war horses took priority over sporting pursuits. From 1901 to the day horses left the battlefields after World War 2, mounted war fighting skills were honed on the fields of Tedworth Park. Therefore, with such a strong equine heritage it is unsurprising that the Armed Forces Equine Charity adopted the name Tedworth Equestrian. In 2019, Tedworth Equestrian, The Armed Forces Equine charity was formed.

How We Help
Horsepower
The relationship between human and horse is unique. Studies have shown that interaction with horses can reduce stress, lower blood pressure and improve general wellbeing.
Aside from the physical benefits, even the most basic connection with a horse has proven mental and emotional benefits. Horses are naturally social animals and possess an incredible ability to recognise human emotion. Horses can help people form trusting relationships, feel more confident in themselves and relate to the world around them.
