Piers Fletcher worked for twenty years in the City as a derivatives broker and Compliance Officer, on the boards of various companies in the Gerrard financial services group and in the UK division of Old Mutual, as well as being a member of various committees of the UK Financial Services self-regulatory system and a Director of the London Commodities Exchange.
Since 2002 he has been a freelance television producer, most notably of the BBC TV panel show QI, now in its twenty-third year. He has been a playing member, and sometime vice-chairman of, Tidworth Park Polo Club for over forty years.
