Robert’s 36 years in the Army included four tours in Northern Ireland, command of the British Battlegroup in Bosnia, and tours on the staff in Kosovo and Iraq. In his last two postings, he worked in the MOD’s procurement organisation in Bristol. Since retiring in 2018, Robert holds a number of part time roles. He is a Chartered Director and Fellow of the Institute of Directors,  a non-executive Director for SC Group Ltd, Chair of the Guards’ Chapel Committee, and Chair of Ambassadors in Wales for the homelessness charity Alabare.
